“I just want to take a break from all this code.”

“How can I forget what I wrote myself?”

“Ah! finally, there it is. Found the bug!”

I tried to make a bug

If you can relate to any of the expressions above, you know what I am talking about. Yes, coding. I am talking in a broad sense here. Any language, any framework, any project, any industry…. programmers can relate to this feeling.

31st December 2021 marked the 100th day of No Code for me.

I have been writing code since I started my Computer Science degree back in 2015. Its been more than six years and I have written code in several languages for assignments in college and then at my jobs. I never thought there would come a time where I would get a break from this but I did!

I moved abroad for my masters waving a friendly goodbye to my amazing job back in September 2021. First semester of my masters comprised of courses with major theoretical knowledge and for good, I did not get a chance to code much. So, for the last 100 days I did not write any of my code and during this time, I got a chance to discover many things related to other disciplines, people, my perception of the real world and my connection to code.
