90 Days Expenses in Ireland

My previous story about moving to The Republic of Ireland as a postgraduate student invited queries from my connections regarding the quality of life, the weather, the people, living expenses, job opportunities and whatnot.

Today, I am touching on one major topic that is “Expenses”. These expenses are based on the town I live in — Letterkenny, Donegal, IE. The percentages will remain close for other towns and cities.

Living abroad as a student have major challenges like searching for accommodation, looking for food of your liking, looking for reasonable shopping places, understanding the bills and laws and managing studies alongside.

I record my income and expenses to keep track of my everything that comes in and goes out of my hand. I further divide the way I spend like cash, bank transfer, card payment or any other method. Similarly I categorize my transaction based on what the money was spent on like clothing, food, entertainment, rent etc. as seen in figure above.
